About the Role
We're looking for driven, self-motivated Freelance Sales Representatives based in Malta to help us grow our local client base. You'll identify and approach potential clients — small and medium businesses across Malta and Gozo — who need graphic design, web development, branding, or digital marketing services.
This is a commission-only freelance role, ideal for well-connected individuals who enjoy relationship-building and have a strong local network. You'll operate independently, setting your own schedule while representing GDM to prospective clients. Successful referrals that convert into paying projects earn you a competitive commission.
As an alternative or complement to this role, candidates may also join our External Referral Partner Programme, which offers a structured commission on every referred client who signs a project — with full tracking, transparent reporting, and payouts via your preferred method.
Requirements
- Identify and approach local businesses in Malta that could benefit from design, web, or marketing services.
- Present GDM's service offerings clearly and professionally — in person, by phone, or via email.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients, following up consistently until conversion.
- Attend local networking events, business expos, and chamber of commerce meetings to generate leads.
- Qualify prospects by understanding their needs, budget, and timeline before handing off to the creative team.
- Collaborate with the GDM team to prepare tailored proposals and estimates for prospective clients.
- Maintain accurate records of all outreach activity, meetings, and deal progress.
- Provide market feedback on pricing, competitor activity, and client expectations in Malta.
- Represent GDM with professionalism, integrity, and a client-first mindset at all times.
- Optionally participate in GDM's Referral Partner Programme for passive lead generation alongside active sales.
Qualifications:
- Based in Malta with legal right to work as a self-employed freelancer (VAT registration or sole trader status under Maltese law).
- Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or client acquisition — ideally in creative, digital, or marketing services.
- Strong existing network of local business contacts across Malta and/or Gozo.
- Excellent communication skills in both Maltese and English (written and spoken).
- Self-starter mentality — comfortable working independently without daily supervision.
- Professional presentation skills and confidence in face-to-face client meetings.
- Basic understanding of web design, branding, and digital marketing services (you don't need to be technical — just able to explain what we offer).
- Familiarity with CRM tools or willingness to use our system for lead tracking and reporting.
- Own transport and willingness to travel across Malta for client meetings.
- A clean professional reputation and ethical approach to sales.
- Experience in the Maltese SME market is a strong plus.
- Existing portfolio of B2B client relationships in Malta is highly desirable.
